Network Marketing Myths
Several myths and misconceptions around the network marketing industry have kept many individuals from big opportunities - had they only listened to the right people. After all you would not consult a heart surgeon regarding a toothache. Nor should you take financial advice from poor people or at least those that do not have full, complete, researched information. We will address some of those misconceptions here.
One often hears that only the people at the top make any real money. You mean like the CEO of XYZ company who pulls in $275 million a year while the workers bees at the same XYZ company are lucky to earn $75K? Well the people who get involved in most home based business companies early on do reap the benefits of their work sooner but in many organizations today persons in a given downline do have the opportunity to equal and even exceed the earnings and accomplishment of these early adopters - sometimes very quickly. Besides, if you started company wouldn't you expect to reap the benefits of the risk you've taken? Always remember, profits are better than wages. Another way of saying this is that residual income is better than a week to week paycheck.
Is this a pyramid? I've often gotten this response from individals unfamiliar with relationship marketing. For the uniniated -a "pyramid" is an illegal structure under any business. The hallmarks of a true pyramid is that there is no legitimate product or service sold and income to those involved only comes from the recruitment of other individuals. Also, the recriut has no opportunity to surpass the indivdual who introduce them to the "business". Unfortunately this stigma without understanding has kept many persons from big opportunity. If it looks like a fish it probably is a fish.
